The build up to Christmas here in St Paul’s has been very merry and festive for all. As Buddy the Elf said himself ‘The best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear’ and that’s exactly what we’ve been doing here in our school!
Ms O Donoghue put together a list of 12 fun, mindful, active and well-being orientated activities to count us down and help us prepare for the big day. Every morning, at half past 9,we listened to St Paul’s favourite Christmas songs that had been chosen by each class level and some very witty festive jokes too! We were then told about the activity for the day.
On Tuesday, our activity was to create Christmas Cards for one of our pupils, Zak Moran. These cards are sure to spread the Christmas Cheer from our school with Zak.
A collaborative Christmas picture was another activity on our list – just look what can happen when we all work together!
On top of all this festivity, it was important for us to remember those who need a little extra help and support this Christmas. We thought of the people in our own country who might not have a home to go to this Christmas and how we could make their Christmas a little better. Ms Clarke organised for us to gather shoeboxes full of non-perishable foods, food vouchers, sanitary products and clothing items to give to these people and again spread a little of our Christmas Cheer to them.
It has been a wonderful countdown to Christmas here in our school, taking time for ourselves while also remembering the less fortunate. We can’t wait for the last 3 days of festivities…. (which I think may be the best yet!).

Wishing our school community a wonderful, safe and joyous Christmas.
