5th Classes enjoyed a walking tour of Navan on Thursday, 7th October last. Armed with a treasure trail to follow and a pencil, they set off from school after little break. Accompanied by their class teacher Mrs. Gibbons and German music student Finn (who has been teaching them ukelele) they walked downtown to the first starting point at the credit union. Taking in some of the sights of Navan such as the art sculptures, old post office, the remains of the old town wall at Ryans bar and the stocks positioned at the town hall they filled in clues on the trail as they walked. Eventually with all clues complete they were able to work out a ‘code’ and complete the challenge! Well done to all.
