6th class had a lovely morning with Dale Treadwell of Naturally Wild today.

Dale discussed the importance of how triangles fit into everyday life and in grand structures around the world such as the Eiffel Tower. The pressure from all angles provides strength which other shapes just don’t give us!

So with this knowledge the children began building a Geodesic Dome together using multiple triangles. It was built using natural sticks (wood from the Willow tree)and connectors. The children all enjoyed being involved in these activities with Dale.

Thank you to Dale for working with 6th class today on this project.
