The AMBER FLAG INITIATIVE aims to encourage schools to promote, and actively
bring about a culture change in the promotion of, positive mental health within the
educational system and other organisations.
This initiative involves the whole school community coming together in other to create a safe, positive and healthy attitude towards our general physical and mental health and well-being.
Our aims for the year include:
- Creating an Amber Flag notice board in the school, promoting positive mental health strategies.
- Holding a fundraising event for Pieta House and a Wellbeing Day to promote positive mental health in our school.
- Placing friendship benches around the yard.
Here is a list of our staff representatives for the year, who with the help of all the pupils in St Pauls, will outline lots of innovative ways to promote positive mental health and wellbeing in our school community – Ms McCaughey, Mr Griffin, Ms Smith, Mr Hoey, Mr Enright, Ms O’Reilly, Mr O Connor Ms Finnerty, Ms Boyle, Ms Markey, Ms Keogh, Ms Fortune, Ms Molloy, Ms Egan, Ms Lynch, Ms Clarke, Mr Mulvaney and Ms McMorrow.
