Junior Infants
Junior Infants have been very busy this week learning some new letters. We were focusing on the sounds made by ‘u’ and ‘l’ and did lots of activities based around these letters. We went outside with some beautiful coloured umbrellas and tried to protect ourselves from the ‘rain’ (Ms. Brogan was trying to catch us and spray water on the waterproof material!) We could hear the ‘rain’ going ‘pitter pat’ overhead.
We also created some great craftwork ..”..Look at our lovely ladybirds in the long grass”.
Our story this week was called’ Mouse Paint” by Ellen Stoll Walsh and we used it to help us explore different shades and tones of ppaint when we mixed together the primary colours of red, yellow and blue. We do hope you like the colourful results.
In Irish we were learning the names of various articles of clothing and dressed a very chilly polar bear in hats and scarves…Tá hata agus scaif ar téidí”. We also designed some very stylish ‘ÉadaÍ’ for some boys and girls.
