St Paul’s celebrated all things Maths this week. All classes entered into the spirit and completed lots of fun based Maths activities. Junior Infants created some animal pictures using 2d shapes. 2nd Class completed Maths trails and created 3D shapes with cocktails sticks and play-doh. Mr Lynagh’s 3rd class completed some surveys and gathered data on their favourite pets. Mr Conlon’s 5th class created clinometers to measure the height of our new ball wall!
For homework during the week we were asked to use our ‘Maths Eyes at Home’. We took pictures of examples of Maths in our home and locality.
On Friday to round off a week of fun events we invited our 5th class friends from St Oliver’s and Scoil Naomh Eoin to come to our school for a quiz. Mr Matthews hosted and asked plenty of tricky but fun questions. We had great time and a treat was enjoyed by all afterwards.
We already can’t wait for the return of Maths Week next year!

Well done to Anna Meally in 2nd class who won the Maths at Home raffle for her picture!

Well done to Aidan who guessed that the ball wall was 5m high. TJ and Shayyan were a close 2nd. They all received a voucher for their efforts!
