On Friday last, pupils in St Paul’s were surprised and delighted to see a pair of most unexpected visitors arrive in the school grounds. Many parents may have done a double take as they navigated the roundabout, on seeing our Jurassic friends!

The dinosaurs were created by sculptor Brian Synnott, who is working this year in partnership with Mrs Daly, under the Teacher/Artist Partnership programme. Mrs Daly’s class has worked with Brian on clay-sculpting, mask-making and helped him create the enormous cake that featured in our school musical, Beauty and the Beast. They were very interested to see more of Brian’s work and came out to welcome the new arrivals on Friday, watching in fascination as the dinosaurs were pieced together. The dinosaurs intend to stay around until school breaks up for the summer, at which point they may become lonely and wander off in search of company…..
