National Concert Hall debut for St. Paul's Violin Orchestra!
11th April 2019
The efforts that went into the Primary Ensemble Project finally came to fruition on Thursday last, 4th April. 39 violinists from 4th - 6th class travelled with their violin teacher, Maria Mason, to the National Concert Hall to perform in the project.
The project was co-ordinated by the Royal Irish Academy of Music, with their partners at the National Concert Hall. The orchestra completed 3 workshops in the lead up to the event. The first was in November with a representative from the Academy. The second two workshops were with St. Ciarán's in Hartstown. St. Paul's performed a collaboration piece - "Thank you for the music" with st. Ciarán's to close the concert. The schools received a standing ovation from the audience at the end of the concert.
The individual piece performed by St. Paul's was the James Bond theme and I think you'll agree they are jaw droppingly fantastic!
