Totem poles were created by both Ms Greally’s and Mr Lynagh’s third classes over the past few weeks. Plenty of work went into this project; children collected and recycled old tins and brought them into school. They were inspired by the Native American Tribes of North America. The children chose three different animals to add to their totem pole, each representing a specific trait or characteristic. For example, some animals represented leadership and others represented friendship. Each totem pole was unique and special to each child. Well done to all the children on all their hard work and creativity!
